LLH Partner Thua G. Barlay Joins State Bar of Georgia Executive Committee
Lueder, Larkin & Hunter, LLC is proud to announce that partner Thua G. Barlay was elected to the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Georgia during the Bar’s Annual Meeting in June 2025. Barlay was elected by his fellow members of the Board of Governors to serve a two-year term for the 2025–2027 Bar years.
The Executive Committee serves as a key governing body of the State Bar of Georgia, providing leadership and oversight of the organization’s operations, policies, and initiatives. Working alongside the Bar’s officers and Board of Governors, the Executive Committee helps advance the Bar’s mission of serving Georgia’s legal profession, promoting the administration of justice, and protecting the public.
Throughout his career, Thua has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional leadership, community involvement, and service to the legal profession.
Barlay represents the Rockdale Judicial Circuit on the State Bar’s Board of Governors and has been actively involved in Bar leadership and service for many years. In addition to his Executive Committee responsibilities, he serves in leadership of the Real Property Law Section, one of the State Bar’s largest sections, which provides education, resources, and professional development opportunities for Georgia’s real estate attorneys.
As a member of the Executive Committee, Barlay also serves as a liaison to several State Bar committees and initiatives, including the Elections Committee, the Georgia Diversity Program, and the Seeking Equal Justice and Addressing Racism & Racial Bias Committee.
Barlay is a partner with Lueder, Larkin & Hunter, where he manages the firm’s Conyers and Covington offices. His practice focuses primarily on residential real estate transactions, estate planning, and probate matters. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional leadership, community involvement, and service to the legal profession.
His contributions have been recognized through numerous honors, including the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service, presented in 2016 by the State Bar of Georgia and the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. He has also held leadership positions with numerous civic and professional organizations, including the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Conyers.
