Sherdia A. Francis is an Associate at Lueder, Larkin & Hunter, where her practice primarily focuses on enforcement and general litigation within the firm’s community association group.
Before joining the firm, Sherdia built a strong litigation foundation practicing criminal defense. She represented clients in a broad range of criminal matters, successfully securing favorable outcomes through strategic negotiations, contested hearings, motion practice, and thorough trial preparation. Her courtroom experience sharpened her ability to quickly assess complex legal issues, develop effective litigation strategies, and advocate persuasively on behalf of her clients. This background allows her to confidently represent community associations in resolving disputes efficiently, while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary.
Sherdia graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, concentrating in Pre-Law, and a minor in Sociology. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Charleston School of Law, where she distinguished herself through leadership, advocacy, and public service. During law school, Sherdia served as President of the Black Law Students Association and was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Equality Alliance. She was also one of only twelve students inducted into the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court in recognition of her leadership, professionalism, commitment to public service, and academic excellence.
Sherdia further honed her advocacy skills as a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, where she served as Vice President of Faculty & Judge Relations. Upon graduation, she was recognized for completing more than 100 hours of pro bono service to the Charleston community and was one of only five graduates inducted into the Charleston School of Law Forensic Club, an honor recognizing excellence in trial advocacy.
Outside of her legal practice, Sherdia enjoys traveling, maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
