Mediation
Not every dispute needs to end in a courtroom. Mediation gives parties an opportunity to evaluate risk, explore practical solutions, and resolve disputes while retaining control over the outcome.
Lueder, Larkin & Hunter offers mediation services for disputes involving condominium associations, homeowners associations, property owners, community association managers, insurance carriers, and other parties involved in community association litigation.
Our goal is the same: to provide a professional, efficient, and productive process that gives the parties the best possible opportunity to reach a resolution.
Our mediators bring practical experience with the issues that frequently arise in community association disputes, including covenant enforcement, architectural disputes, assessment and collection matters, property damage claims, premises liability, governance disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, Fair Housing matters, insurance disputes, and conflicts involving owners, boards, managers, and neighboring properties.
Because community association disputes often involve ongoing relationships, governing documents, insurance considerations, and practical concerns that extend beyond the legal claims asserted in a lawsuit, an effective mediator must understand more than the pleadings. Our approach focuses on identifying the issues that are actually preventing resolution, realistically evaluating the risks facing each party, and helping the parties determine whether a practical settlement can be reached.
Joanna Eljazzar is a certified mediator with more than a decade of litigation experience in New York and Georgia. Her practice has included community association litigation, insurance defense, corporate litigation, enforcement matters, and creditor’s rights. Her experience representing associations, boards, managers, insurers, and other parties in complex disputes gives her a practical perspective on both the legal and business considerations that drive settlement decisions.
Whether mediation occurs before litigation, during discovery, on the eve of trial, or after a dispute has become particularly contentious, our goal is the same: to provide a professional, efficient, and productive process that gives the parties the best possible opportunity to reach a resolution.
