Daniel Melchi Appointed to Bench and Bar Committee for United States Bankruptcy Court

On January 9, 2018, Daniel Melchi was appointed to a seat on the Bench and Bar Committee for United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia as an attorney representative.

The Bench and Bar Committee was established in 2013 to promote effective communication about Court procedures, local rules and other issues that affect members of the bankruptcy community in the Northern District of Georgia. The current composition of the board includes the Clerk of Court, Chief Deputy Clerk, Chapter 13 trustees, a representative of the United States Trustee, Chapter 7 trustees, and debtor and creditor attorneys.  The Bench and Bar Committee serves to collaborate between the District’s judges, attorneys, and the Clerk of the Court to recommend procedures, propose and give guidance for Local Rules and General Orders, and help to ensure an efficient and professional court system.

Daniel Melchi earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Purdue University and earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Georgia State University College of Law.  Dan is the managing partner of Lueder, Larkin & Hunter’s bankruptcy department.
